Could somebody please review this model and provide some input to clean it up/ fix any errors? All help would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to learn about contact surfaces and think that is where the problem lies. I am having trouble with the deflections in my model and an awkward outward rotation of my supports. My model uses FRP rebar which has a lower modulus than normal steel. I basically have spent the last few weeks self learning ANSYS and made a lot of progress. My professor and I would both like to see the results matched up with an FEA model. Similarly the design ultimate tensile strength of HAZ is 75.15/92 0.81, this is also less than 1, hence the structure is safe for 0.07m thickness of the plate. The unit check for stress is, 75.15 / 195 0.38, this value is less than 1. I did an experiment with a RC beam and had questionable data acquisition. should be multiplied by the combination factor 1.5, then the design stress value is 75.15 N/mm2. Hey everybody!
